Helen Horton
Associate Person-Centred Counsellor

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor who firmly believes that given the right space to explore and challenge your thoughts and
feelings, you can grow as a person and be supported to find your way through life’s
difficulties.
I am currently working towards a Top-up degree in Health and Social Care, and I
hold a Foundation degree in Counselling.
I began my counselling career relatively late in life, after redundancy gave me the
opportunity to rethink my life’s purpose. My previous roles include Bank Clerk, Registered Nurse, Early Years Practitioner, and Leadership and Management roles.
This has given me a wealth of experience working alongside people from all walks of
life.
I have a particular interest in how our childhood experiences impact our later life and relationships. I am also interested in the complexities of neurodiversity, especially for those diagnosed as adults, as I understand how challenging this can be.
